About Ron

Music has been a part of Ron’s life since he was 11 years old, when he bought his first guitar with money he earned mowing neighbors’ lawns. Largely self-taught, he spent countless hours learning songs by ear from records by the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, John Williams, Andrés Segovia, and his father’s extensive jazz collection. That early passion for music led him to letter in his high school’s varsity jazz ensemble, where he earned multiple awards for improvisational solos while touring with the school’s swing choir.

During high school, Ron’s jazz instructor encouraged him to pursue a scholarship to Berklee College of Music. Instead, life took him down a different path—one that eventually led to service in the United States Air Force. While serving, he continued to perform as a lead guitarist in several bands, proving that music remained a constant part of his life.

After his military service, Ron married and answered a different calling, studying for ministry and serving as Worship Pastor at Calvary Chapel of Camp Verde, Arizona. Those years deepened both his musicianship and his passion for connecting with people through music.

Today, Ron combines decades of performance experience with a genuine love for entertaining audiences. Whether performing on guitar, piano, or vocals, he provides the perfect soundtrack for weddings, private parties, corporate events, and special occasions throughout the Houston area. He also enjoys sharing his passion with the next generation by teaching guitar, piano, voice, and music theory, helping students discover the same joy that first inspired him as an 11-year-old with a brand-new guitar.
